LED illumination

светодиод2

Lately it was impossible to speak seriously about LED illumination. Technologies were too far from effective LED application as the main kind of illumination, though it has been already used as highlighting and contour illumination for a long time. And now the time has come when technologies reached the luminous efficiency of 130-150 lumen per watt of energy consumption! In words of one syllable it means that this illumination is 4-6 times more economic than any other illumination of most energy-saving lamps applying at present. These lamps use luminous gas… and in our case we have semiconductor’s emission!

Thus let’s try to list advantages of the «new light»

Economical efficiency – with steady rising electricity rates the usage of such illumination brings rather sizable profit! It is worthy to note that the coefficient of efficiency of a usual incandescent lamp is only 4% while the LED’s is 58%!

Long service life – these numbers are hardly believed but it is up to 11 years of constant work!

Reliability – forget about thin tungsten filament! Semiconductor’s emission is a hundred times safer and possesses high resistance to vibration and mechanical effects.

Environmental safety – absence of ultraviolet and radioactive radiation, free from mercury or other harmful substances – no special utilization needed.

Low heat emission – greatly decreases the closeness of rooms leading to lower energy consumption of air conditioners; also under the LED illuminators nothing becomes heated that is especially important for heat-sensitive production.

Real colour rendering - LED illumination is day lighting alike. Therefore we see the real object’s colour but not the miscoloured one. (Very important for print advertising production!)

Wide temperature limits - LED illuminators work under any weather conditions at the temperature from – 40ºС to 50ºС

High luminous efficiency – up to 150 lumen per watt of energy consumption

Absolute stability to multiple switching on/off

Absence of stroboscopic effect (pulsation, glinting)

Uniform light emission – absence of dark and light spots on horizontal and vertical flats (pleasant light emission)
